An eternal record of the evening with Don Norman

by Wendy Soon on January 6, 2014

It was great seeing so many familiar faces, as well as many new faces at our latest meetup with Don Norman, held at the Stanford Graduate School of Business! We met many awesome designers, heard about many exciting opinions on the future of design, and of course had a great exchange with Don Norman himself! To those who couldn’t get enough of Don (just as we did), and found the design tips from Don insufficient, here are some lovely still captures of the event to spark your memory, and a full video record of the entire evening’s session! Enjoy! 🙂

This special end-of-year mega meetup was jointly organized by the Vorkspace team and Stanford Graduate of Business. It was held at the CEMEX auditorium of the Stanford GSB. 11484154923_41886eb14c_b
The King of design, Don Norman 🙂

Don is not only a prominent figure in the design world, he is also an experienced founder of startups, an author, and a very captivating speaker!

The Q&A session with Don, hosted by Professor Yossi Feinberg, Faculty Director of the Stanford Ignite program. 11484803173_a8f6e4814a_b
Don was, as usual, very excited while describing his opinions and experiences on design.
The packed 500-seater auditorium…
… with long queues to ask Don Norman questions ranging from design to startups to his philosophy of life.
Of course, we did not forget to make sure everyone stays warm and happy during the after-event — yes, with alcohol!
Some said the after-event was the TRUE event. Because they got to get up and close with Don, with his book signing and photo-taking session!
We probably had the entire auditorium form a line to get Don’s signature on his book “The Design of Everyday Things”!
Happy and satisfied fans of Don Norman, the author who is also an awesome designer and ex-VP of Apple.
OMG, I’m right next to Don Norman!!!!!

Happily and proudly brought to you by the Vorkspace team (V is for Vorkspace, in case you were wondering)
And Don Norman
Happy holidays everyone!!
See you at our next meetup on Jan 13th 2014!!
